Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) is the first State Medical College with maximum perception to develop medical manpower resources and healthy health care services in the State. We are contriving our best level to produce world class graduate medical students, perfect medical and surgical care to all the patients.

The students of JNIMS are performing well in the University Examinations conducted by Manipur University both in Undergraduate and Post Graduate levels. We strive to inculcate the habit of lateral and innovative thinking, research orientations, decision making capability etc. in our students.  Various sophisticated teaching and learning methods like E-Classroom, E-Library, Interactive Smart Board etc. are being used. Many faculty members of this Institute are involved in various research projects funded by various agencies like DBT, ICMR, WHO etc. These research projects have benefited not only to the patients and researchers but also improved the laboratory infrastructure of the Institute. Many major scientific conferences, workshops and CMEs etc. with participation of intellectual delegates from the State and outside were held every year.
